Message They're Green by breathing new life into previously unserviceable parts that could have ended up in a landfill or worse, sent to China to be recycled and used to create more AMS junk.

Buying BDE VTCs creates jobs and helps to lower unemployment! Well, they create one job at least.

Buying BDE VTCs contributes to the economy! Go USA!

Seriously though, besides controlling noise, the most overlooked benefit is the locking of the rear seal plate to prevent it from rotating and wiping out the o-ring prematurely. Also, the replacement of the o-ring itself is a huge improvement. Most of the core sprockets that I disassemble have o-rings that are brittle and break apart when removed; this is typical of any high-mileage engine and it's only a matter of time before they would develop an oil leak.

I could go on and on, but I might be a bit biased.
